Barrett Shuler
Barrett Shuler is new to the whole LA thing. He grew up in sunny Florida, where he started doing local repertory theatre at the age of seven. He lost a talent show when he was nine to a girl who cried her way into first place. (He's still bitter.) Barrett earned acclaim from the Florida Thespian society for his theatre work in high school, and later, at the University of Central Florida, he acted in commercials and student films while pursuing a film degree.
After landing a role in HBO's Recount, starring Kevin Spacey, Barrett decided to move to LA. And here he is. Barrett has since studied at IO West, the LA Connection, and the Larry Moss Studio. He was most recently seen in Stefan Mark's The Singing Skeleton.
Praise for Barrett in The Singing Skeleton:
Most successful is Barrett Shuler whose brilliant, deadpan portrayal of Brandon, a first-time playwright who is nearly as passionate about the work as he is about gorgeous Hannah (Jessica Kepler) whom he hopes to cast (and kiss) as his star. - LA Weekly
Shuler displays an appealing charm that should garner him roles in youth-oriented films and TV shows. - Backstage West
