Laura Spencer

Laura Spencer was born in Oklahoma City just as a tornado touched down near the hospital. She was raised in the suburbs of Oklahoma and carried out her education in her home state, finishing with a BFA in Theatre from the University of Oklahoma. Her first film was the independent feature Barking Water, which premiered at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival. She will soon be appearing as Zoe in the major feature film Dead of Night, starring Brandon Routh and Taye Diggs, and as Kimmy in the dark comedy MANGUS! starring Jennifer Coolidge. Laura's other film credits include lead roles in the indie features In The Land of Fireworks, The Familiar and The Rounder Comes to Town, as well as supporting roles in Time Expired and Pearl. For the stage, she has performed in the 2009 KCACTF Regional Nominee Anatomy of Gray, as well as Lend Me a Tenor, Miss Julie and A Midsummer Night's Dream. Laura was the first Young Performers coach asked to teach at The Actor Factory in Norman, Oklahoma. There she taught children ages 5-16 the basics of auditioning for film before heading to Los Angeles to put these ideas into motion.
