Rachel Germaine

Rachel is a native New Yorker who prides herself on the Yankees and curse words. She studied at The University at Albany majoring in theatre, the most important degree of all time. Soon after college, she hit the pavement in NYC, racking up appearances at Stand-Up New York, The Laugh Factory and The Red Room. Rachel found her calling when a friend had an opening for his NY based sketch group Basketcase. She went on to perform with that group for three years as they became the resident sketch group at The Manhattan Theater Source and appeared in the 2004 Chicago Sketch Fest. Basketcase received the "Best New Sketch Group" nomination at the 2005 New York City Comedy Awards. It was then Rachel decided that comedy was definitely her forte.
Since living in L.A., Rachel has studied with The Groundlings, Upright Citizens Brigade, Steppenwolf West and Lesly Kahn. She's performed all around town including at Improv Olympic West, ACME Theatre and Sacred Fools Theatre. She has appeared on Comedy Central's "Sarah Silverman Program" and fX's "The Riches," and her upcoming projects include "Break-Ups by Matt McManus" which can be seen on FunnyorDie.com, and "Wanting Alex," a short film directed by Chris Akers which will be hitting the festival circuit spring 2010. Rachel can currently be seen in commercials for Burger King and H&R Block.
