Matt Weinhold

Matt Weinhold has been described by the San Francisco Weekly as "diverse and fiercely original" and he is one of the freshest acts around. As a stand-up comic, he has won the Seattle Comedy Competition and placed third in the prestigious San Francisco Comedy Competition. He has appeared on NBC's "Comedy Showcase," "Late Friday," Comedy Central's "Premium Blend," Showtime's "Full Frontal Comedy," and Fox's "Comic Strip Live." Much more than just a stand-up, Matt's eclectic career includes writing a pilot for British television, serving as head writer/performer for various San Francisco-based sketch troupes, doing voice-overs for MTV's "Super Adventure Team," Game Show Network's "Throut & Neck," providing correspondent work on the Sci-Fi Channel, and appearing as himself in the cult movie, "Trekkies." He has created and developed projects for Comedy Central, VH1, Klasky-Csupo and Shockwave.com. For many years, he was the chief contributor to US Magazine's popular "Fashion Police" feature. He also wrote for "Scarface" (a GSN series), "Trigger Happy TV" (a Comedy Central series) and "Pop Rocks" (a VH1/Jersey TV pilot he also hosted). Matt currently writes for Style Network's flagship show "The Dish" and recently completed production on a pilot he co-created and co-stars in called "Fit to Be Tied."
