Shaun Menchel
Shaun Menchel is a NY-based LGBTQ writer whose comedy career began at Skidmore College, where he performed original sketch comedy on-campus and on tour with The Sketchies. After spending time in Chicago at The Second City Comedy Studies Program, Shaun ventured to LA where he worked as a monologue intern at CONAN on TBS.
While at CONAN, Shaun began writing Global Force Go!, a script that went on to attach comic genius Maria Bamford, Emmy-winning writer/director Rob Cohen, and Ben Silverman’s Propagate Content. In May of 2024, Shaun’s comedy script, Area 27, was celebrated as a standout hit after a live table read performance at NY’s Pitchfest, presented by the Brooklyn Comedy Collective.
Currently, Shaun is a writer for Snowflakes, an upcoming FX comedy series under Nick Kroll’s Good at Business production shingle. He is especially proud to be co-writing an episode of the series with Emmy-nominated writer and series showrunner, Stefani Robinson.
