ELI GONZALEZ
Eli is a native Angelino, first-generation Latino, and proud member of the LGBTQ community. As a performer, he graduated with a BFA in Acting from Oklahoma City University (go whatever our mascot was!) and made his way back to LA where he’s been working consistently in the world of commercials and voice over.
Fluent in Spanish, he’s made his way into dubbing shows for streamers like Netflix, Disney+, and HBO Max. Commercially, you may have seen him in campaigns for Warby Parker, Rumchata, or AT&T. And as a comedian/improvisor you may have seen him on stage at the Upright Citizens Brigade either on Harold Night, the extremely popular Fuck This Month, or at Menudo Presenta: After Dark with his all-Latine improv team.
Though UCB is his home base, he’s made his way around the LA area all the way up to the prestigious San Francisco Sketch Festival where he improvised with the notable Patton Oswald.
Improv comedy may be his most abundant medium but he does take the plunge into other kinds of projects. Recently he was on stage with Shakespeare by the Sea’s production of Love’s Labour’s Lost where his booming voice and mastery of text were on full display.
