SYDNEY HELLER
Sydney Heller is a graduate of UCLA’s School of Theater, Film, and Television, but does not show school pride because the combination of blue and yellow does not look good on her skin tone. She is a sketch comedian, actress, singer, improviser and playwright. Sydney has been doing improv since the age of twelve and has studied with the prestigious Groundlings Company Advanced Lab. She has written for Amy Poehler's Smart Girls and the 2015 CBS Diversity Showcase. Working with her comedy partner, Olivia Delaurentis, she launched a sketch comedy YouTube channel, Barely Legal Comedy, on which they wrote, produced, directed, edited and starred in sketches that specialize in fast-paced dialogue and subverting gender stereotypes with absurdist humor. In 2016, they created and starred in their own web series, Sugar Babies, attracting the attention of their current management team.
Starting in 2019, Sydney and Olivia sold two shows to Snapchat, Apocalypse Goals and Stir Crazy, which the duo wrote, directed, edited, and acted in. They also sold, wrote and starred in several digital shows for Vin Di Bona Digital Studios. More recently, Sydney and Olivia have written and directed for the popular YouTube channel Smosh and Nickelodeon’s Digital Incubator. They also co-created and hosted the web series The Generational Talk Show with Ellen Digital Ventures.
Sydney currently co-hosts Fail Center for Vin Di Bona Digital Studios. Together with Olivia, she co-hosts the popular podcast, Syd & Olivia Talk Sh*t, and will soon be co-hosting a podcast that accompanies the Discovery+ documentary series, Dark Dynasties. Olivia and Sydney wrote and acted in a sketch for The Paloni Show!, a 2022 Halloween special for Hulu. They are currently developing an original animated pilot, Winging It, for 20th Century Fox and Hulu, working under Russian Doll co-creator Leslye Headland and Rick & Morty co-creator Justin Roiland.
